Privacy Policy
Tend (“we”, “us”) is made by Matiworks (“Matiworks”). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We built Tend for our own family first, and we treat your household’s data the way we want ours treated.
What we collect
- Account details — your email address and an encrypted password, used to sign you in.
- Household content — the to-dos, meals, grocery and pantry items, events, and notes you create, and which member created or changed them.
- Membership — the household you belong to and the other members you share it with.
- Basic technical data — information needed to keep the app working and secure (for example, sign-in timestamps), and which device platforms you use (for example, iPhone or Mac), so we can run the service and decide where to invest.
We do not collect your contacts, location, or advertising identifiers, and we do not run ads.
How we use it
Only to provide Tend: to sync your household’s content across the members you invite, keep you signed in, and keep the service running and secure. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Where it lives
Your data is stored with our infrastructure provider, Supabase, in the Mumbai (ap-south-1) region. Access is restricted by per-household security rules so only members of your household can read or change your household’s content.
Sharing
We share data only with the members you invite to your household, and with service providers that operate the app on our behalf (such as Supabase for hosting and Apple for app delivery and, later, payments). We may disclose information if required by law.
Your choices
- Access and export — you can view and export your household’s data from within the app.
- Deletion — you can delete content, and you can request deletion of your account by emailing us. We remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep it to meet legal obligations.
- Correction — you can edit your content and account details at any time.
Children
Tend is meant for adults managing a household. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for material changes, let you know in the app.
